How it works

How a screen can be see-through

Real pixels sit on narrow strips with clear gaps between them. From a distance your eye blends them into one bright image — while your view passes straight through the gaps.

A clothing-store window at dusk with a transparent LED display glowing a 'New Arrivals — Fall Collection' campaign across the glass, while the racks, folded knitwear and a staff member inside the shop stay clearly visible straight through the lit graphic
Look straight through the campaign: the display lights the glass while the clothes, fixtures and staff inside stay visible. That is the transparency, on a real storefront.
01

Pixels live on thin strips

LEDs sit on strips a few millimetres wide, spaced apart. The gap is the transparency — 94% of the panel is open space.

02

It mounts to the glass you already have

Film bonds to the inner face with a squeegee; heavier grades hang off the frame. No steel, no drilling.

03

A controller drives it from the cloud

One controller runs up to 45 panels over Wi-Fi or 4G. You schedule campaigns from a phone.

04

From the street it reads as a solid screen

At street distance the eye fills the gaps. Passers-by see a bright image; your store still shows through.

Who we are

See-through LED that puts your glass to work

Transparent LED is our whole focus — self-adhesive film and behind-glass panels that light up a shop window, showroom or facade while keeping 55–95% of the view straight through. It bonds to the glass you already have: no steel, no drilling, no blacked-out window.

These displays are not a cost — they are an investment. The same glass that shows your product now runs dayparted campaigns, promotes exactly what you choose, and can carry paid advertising — turning a storefront into a sustainable, recurring source of revenue for the business.

Why SmarTech

Engineering answers first, not just a price list

Specced to your glass

Orientation, tint, viewing distance and daylight decide the pitch and brightness. We ask for a photo before quoting a product.

We tell you when not to buy

Adhesive film on a sun-blasted facade fails within a year. We say so, and quote the product that survives instead.

Load and power in writing

Every quote states kg/m² on the glazing and W/m² draw — the numbers your architect and electrician actually need.

FAQ

The questions that decide the project

Can people still see into my store through the screen?

Yes — that is the whole point. You keep 55% to 95% of the view depending on grade, and the slider at the top of this page is a real like-for-like comparison of the same window off and on.

How much weight goes on my existing glass?

Self-adhesive film is 1–3 kg/m², behind-glass film about 6, framed mesh around 10 on its own structure. A 3 × 2 m film window is roughly 18 kg — well inside standard commercial glazing. The calculator above gives the figure for your size.

What does a project cost?

A typical small storefront lands at $10K–20K all in. Starter film kits begin at $389 if you want to test one window first. Each product page carries the per-square-metre bands.

Can I see it before committing?

Yes. On qualifying projects we can arrange a working transparent LED film strip with a controller so you can hold it against your own glass, in your own light. Ask us and we'll confirm what your project qualifies for.
