What it is

A wall built from tiles, sized to your room

An LED video wall is modular cabinets assembled to any shape. Because you build from tiles rather than buy a fixed panel, the canvas matches your architecture — and with 16:9 COB cabinets it lands on native 1080p or 4K with no scaling.

  • Front-service magnetic modules — flush wall mount, no rear access corridor to design around.
  • Fanless COB below 20 dB — silent enough for boardrooms, churches and studios.
  • Broadcast refresh — 3,840 Hz standard, 7,680 Hz for camera-critical rooms.

Choosing

COB, SMD or GOB — and why it matters

LED packaging drives your maintenance bill more than the brand on the box. COB encapsulates the diodes under a flat resin surface: deepest blacks, near-zero pixel failures, wipe-clean and knock-resistant, at a 40–80% premium. SMD is cheapest and field-repairable diode by diode. GOB adds epoxy armour to SMD for rental and high-traffic spaces.

  • Under 2 m viewing → P0.9–P1.5 COB. 2–4 m → P1.5–P1.9. Lobby at 5 m+ → P2.5–P4 SMD is honest value.
  • Control rooms and 24/7 duty justify COB on failure rate alone.
  • Touring and school use: GOB, every time.

The numbers that decide the deal

Design rule: minimum viewing distance in metres ≈ pixel pitch in millimetres. We size walls to land on native 1080p or 4K rather than an awkward in-between resolution.

Turnkey benchmarks: conference room walls $50–120K; 12 × 7 ft lobby wall $60–100K; church sanctuary packages $40–180K; a P2.5 3 × 2 m retail wall $18–27K. Install typically adds 15–30% on top of hardware, and power and heat load are itemised in every quote.

Why it wins

The details AV managers and architects check

01

Front service, flush mount

Magnetic modules pull from the front, so the wall sits tight to the structure with no rear maintenance corridor eating floor area.

02

Silent by design

Fanless COB cabinets at or below 20 dB — no HVAC-style hum behind a presenter or a sermon.

03

Broadcast-safe

3,840–7,680 Hz refresh eliminates banding on livestream and studio cameras from day one.

04

Five-year warranty option

Longer than the typical LED warranty, manufacturer-backed and subject to terms, with spare modules stocked against your specific cabinet type.

05

Worship package

600–800 nit anti-glare walls with one-click lyrics and scripture switching, specced for wide seating angles.

06

Native resolution math

16:9 tiles assemble to exact 1080p or 4K canvases, so content maps 1:1 with no scaler softening.

FAQ

What buyers ask first

What pixel pitch do I actually need?

Minimum comfortable viewing distance in metres roughly equals the pitch in millimetres. A boardroom viewed from 2 m wants P1.2–P1.9; a lobby seen from 5 m is perfectly served by P2.5–P4. Going finer than your room needs is the most common way to overspend on a video wall.

COB or SMD?

COB gives the deepest blacks, a very low pixel-failure rate, a wipe-clean sealed surface and the lowest maintenance cost — at a 40–80% premium. SMD is cheaper and repairable diode by diode. GOB sits between them with epoxy armour for rental and high-touch rooms. We quote the two that fit your use and show the five-year cost, not just the purchase price.

How much power and cooling do I need to plan?

Budget 30–60 W per square foot with dedicated circuits sized to peak rather than average draw. Heat load matters for room HVAC on anything above about 10 m², and both figures are itemised in the quote so your electrician and mechanical engineer are not guessing.

What warranty and support comes with it?

Up to five years on our cabinet lines, double the 2–3 year norm, with spare modules stocked per project so swaps are fast. Support reaches an engineer directly rather than a ticket queue.

Can a wall be curved or an unusual shape?

Yes. Rental cabinets curve with adjustable locks, and fixed installs can be built to arcs, columns and irregular outlines using custom edge cabinets. We model the tile layout before quoting so you see exactly where the seams land.

How long does an install take?

A typical indoor wall is one to three days on site once structure and power are in place. The longer path is usually structural steel and electrical work, which we scope in the survey so the trades are sequenced properly rather than discovered on the day.
